Michael Matthews, AIA received a Design Award from the American Institute of Architects, Los Angeles chapter. The award honored his architecture firm, Michael Matthews Studio. His “Barrel Cactus” ADU project, a design for an ADU / Guest house in San Diego, won a 2024 Design Award. The project won in the “Next LA” category for unbuilt or in-progress projects.
